AC Milan supremo Silvio Berlusconi claims he would pick Stephan El Shaarawy over Napoli star Edinson Cavani if he had to make a choice.

The Uruguayan impressed at the weekend with a hat-trick against Roma and has already netted 25 goals in all competitions for Napoli this season.

Nevertheless, even though Berlusconi is full of respect for the striker, he would still pick the 20-year-old El Shaarawy instead, thanks to his Rossoneri performances this term.

“Cavani is a great player and he can take Napoli to new heights,” he told Radio RTL.

“I’m very attached to El Shaarawy, though, so I would pick him instead if I had to choose.”

El Shaarawy has netted 14 goals in 19 Serie A appearances this season.
