Manchester City appeared to be on track to, at least temporarily, reduce the gap separating them from Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table to three points when Erling Haaland fired them ahead against Brighton from a penalty spot in the 41st minute of their clash at the Etihad on Wednesday.
However, Kaoru Mitoma had other ideas, and on the hour-mark, the Japanese winger cut inside from the left and fired into the far bottom corner to set the final score at 1-1.
If Arsenal beat the struggling Liverpool at the Emirates on Thursday, as many expect, the gap will increase to eight points.
