Akos Buzsaky said Saturday’s 3-1 win over Wigan has kicked off manager Mark Hughes’ reign at Loftus Road in style.

The Hungarian, who scored from a free kick in the game, said Hughes’ new training regime has totally changed the team.

“The manager’s main impact has been the training sessions,” Buzsaky told the QPR website.

“They are really, really sharp and all of the players are responding positive to them.”

“I think you could tell (on Saturday) – we looked sharper and were on the front foot for the majority of the time,” Buzsaky said.

“It was a great overall team performance. What was really impressive was the way we worked together. We controlled the game well and deserved the win.”

With that 3-1 victory, QPR moved out of the relegation zone and the Hungarian is hoping that this is just the start of good things for him and the club.

“I’ve been waiting for this moment and opportunity to emerge,” Buzsaky said.

“Now I just want to take the chance and stay in the team for as long as I can.”

“We just need to concentrate on ourselves now. If everyone gives their best then we are going to go somewhere.”

“I’m sure this is just the starting point for us.”
