Bragantino handed stuttering Guarani a third-straight loss in the Campeonato Paulista on Saturday as Linense also won.
Midfielder Romarinho scored the only goal in the 1-0 win six minutes into the match to move Bragantino up to seventh on the table.
Linense survived a late scare after taking a 3-0 lead before half-time to see off Ituano’s challenge.
Luciano Chimbra scored either side of Lenilson’s penalty to give Linense the ascendancy at half-time, before Kleiton Domingues struck for Ituano to make it 3-1.
Anderson Salles added Ituano’s second on 77 minutes to set up a nervy finale, but Linense held on.
Elsewhere, Portuguesa and Catanduvense played out a goalless draw, with both sides still floundering in the bottom half.
