Lega Calcio’s disciplinary panel has handed Inter Milan striker Luc Castaignos a three-game ban for spitting at Bologna’s Andrea Raggi.

Castaignos, 19, was caught on camera spitting during Inter’s 3-0 Serie A defeat on Friday and he has been sanctioned, despite referee Antonio Damato missing the incident.

Inter have not yet stated whether they plan to appeal the decision, which will see Castaignos miss Serie A matches against Napoli, Catania and Chievo.

Castaignos has scored one goal from six league appearances for Inter this season.
