Chelsea join race for Mkhitaryan

German media outlet Bild has suggested that Premier League giants Chelsea are showing interest in Borussia Dortmund playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The Armenian footballer has been heavily linked with a big club move of late, with Juventus reportedly leading the chase for his signature.

It was Antonio Conte who first attempted to bring Mkhitaryan to Turin and he is now looking to lure the midfielder to Stamford Bridge instead.

The Italy boss plans to rebuild the squad when he takes over the reigns at Chelsea, and the Armenia hotshot is one of the first names on his wish list.

Henrikh Mkhataryan joined Borussia Dortmund after a very successful spell with Shakhtar Donetsk and he continued with impressive performances in German Bundesliga.

This season has been his most productive yet, seeing that the 27-year-old managed 11 goals and 15 assists in 31 league outings, and the Millionaires now face a struggle to keep hold of his services.
