Chelsea target Pablo Barrios

Chelsea are interested in signing Pablo Barrios from Atletico Madrid, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that the Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup winners are planning an offer close to €70 million for Barrios in the Jauary transfer window.

Barrios has established himself as one of the best young midfielders in Europe and is a star in the Atletico team. The Spain international midfielder has made 112 appearances for the Spanish club so far in his career, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists in those games.

Chelsea are sixth in the Premier League table at the oment with eight points from five matches, seven points behind leaders Liverpool. Meanwhile, Atletico currently find themselves ninth in the La Liga standings with nine points from six matches, as many as nine points behind leaders and city rivals Real Madrid.
