England travel to the LFF Stadium to face Lithuania in their final Euro 2016 qualifier. The Three Lions have already booked their place in next year’s European Championships, and are big favourites to come out on top given their fantastic form in Group E. Lithuania will hope to offer some resistant when the two sides lock horns on Monday night, but their poor qualifying campaign is likely to end in defeat.

Despite little other than pride to play for now their place in the 2016 finals has been sealed, England won’t be taking Lithuania for granted. Manager Roy Hodgson will be using Monday’s outing as a chance to give fringe players some game time, while experimenting with any new faces that have been called up, but there will still be an experienced core to the side to ensure the Three Lions come away with maximum points.

England’s away form has been outstanding in the qualifiers, with Hodgson’s men boasting a 100% record on the road ahead of their meeting against Lithuania, and the form of the home side suggests they will make it five wins from five on Monday. Underdogs Lithuania previously suffered five consecutive defeats in Group E, and have struggled for goals in the qualifiers too.

Coupled with England’s fantastic defensive record – conceding only two goals on the road – Hodgson’s men will be hoping to not only beat Lithuania, but to come away with a clean sheet for their troubles too. And recent form suggests they can certainly achieve it given they enjoyed a shutout in their first meeting against Lithuania – a 4-0 win at Wembley.
