(GSM) – Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas expects to be fit for their friendly match against Saudi Arabia and started jogging for the first time since fracturing his leg in March.

Fabregas says he is aiming to play against Saudi Arabia in a friendly on May 29.

The Arsenal captain says his recovery from a cracked fibula is going well and he started jogging Wednesday. He expects to “begin running properly” on Monday.

The 23-year-old Fabregas cracked his right fibula in a challenge with fellow Spain international Carles Puyol during the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal against Barcelona on March 31.

Fabregas says he will join the national team on May 24, five days before the friendly with Saudi Arabia.
