Everton’s Marouane Fellaini has stressed he is happy at Goodison Park despite speculation linking him with a move away from the club.

Fellaini has gained many plaudits for his combative performances this season, which had led to suggestions he could move clubs to further his career.

The speculation will only intensify following the announcement that Everton boss David Moyes will take over at Manchester United next campaign but, although the Belgian has a desire to play in the UEFA Champions League, he insisted he is not desperate for a change of scenery.
“Every player wants to play in the Champions League. That is the big competition,” Fellaini told the Daily Mirror.

“I hope I can do it with Everton. I’m happy here. I’ve been at the club for five years. I’m happy because I know everybody.

“For my future, I want to play in England. The Premier League is the best league. Here there are five, six, seven, eight teams, all of whom think they are good enough to play in the Champions League and want that.

“There isn’t another country in Europe where you get that.”

Belgium international Fellaini has made 34 appearances for Everton this season, scoring 12 goals in all competitions.
