AC Milan chief executive officer Adriano Galliani feels the club’s success would not be possible without president Silvio Berlusconi.
Massimiliano Allegri’s men’s 3-2 win over Roma on Saturday allowed them to move to second in the Serie A table, two points behind league leaders Juventus.
And Galliani believes Berlusconi is to thank for the reigning champions’ ability to again challenge for the Serie A title.
“We always have enthusiasm and it is even easier when you are near the top,” Galliani told Milan Channel.
“We have a great squad and we have to always thank Silvio Berlusconi, our president, who allows us to compete and stay at the top.”
“However, we must not get carried away, we have to be calm.”
“If we can maintain calm then I am sure the club will have a good season in Serie A and the Champions League.”
Milan meet BATE Borisov in Belarus on Tuesday in Group H of the Champions League.
