Genoa keen on Croatian starlet

Genoa are readying bid for Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

With Croatia set to become part of the European Union in July 2013, players from this country are starting to attract interest from top Italian clubs.

While sides like Juventus, Milan and Inter are following Dinamo Zagreb starlets Sime Vrsaljko, Mateo Kovacic and Duje Cop, Genoa are showing interest in their teammate Macelo Brozovic.

The versatile midfielder has only joined the Croatian giants this summer, but it is believed his club would not be able to resist a big money bid.

Brozovic is regarded as one of the most talented midfielder in Eastern Europe, with Paris Saint-Germain already expressing their interest in the player.

The 19-year-old, who joined the club from Lokomotiva Zagreb, has featured in 5 league games this season, while starting all three Champoions League clashes for Dinamo.
