(GSM) – World Cup side Honduras continued a less-than-stellar run-up to next week’s World Cup as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Azerbaijan in Austria.

Los Catrachos came out looking for redemption after being held 2-2 by Belarus last week, but their constant and persistent attacks were thwarted by a well-organized Azeri defense.

Azerbaijan goalkeeper Elnur Allahverdiyev made some key stops against a near full-strength Honduras side, who have one more warm-up against Romania on Saturday before opening Group H play on 16 June against Chile.

Honduras had further chances after the 73rd minute when Azeri defender Sascha Yunisoglu was sent off, but Reinaldo Rueda’s men failed to find the back of the net after wasting countless opportunities.
