Bournemouth defender Illya Zabarnyi wants to join Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano. The well-known and well-respected journalist has revealed on X that PSG are holding talks with Bournemouth over a potential deal.
Romano wrote: “Paris Saint-Germain had new contacts today for Ilya Zabarny deal as negotiations advance for the defender.
“Zabarny wants the move and club to club talks with Bournemouth continue on key details with PSG pushing to make it happen.”
Zabarnyi has been at Bournemouth since 2023 when he moved from Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kyiv. The 22-year-old centre-back has been superb for the Cherries in the Premier League and has established himself as one of the better players in his position in the English top flight. The youngster made 35 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League last season, while in the 2023-24 campaign, he made 37 starts in the league.
