Mauricio Isla looks to have played his last game for Udinese after he revealed that the club have agreed to release him at season’s end.

The Chile international has been heavily linked with a move away from the Stadio Friuli since last summer, with Inter said to be leading the chase for his signature.

Isla, who suffered a season-ending knee injury against AC Milan last weekend, has repeatedly spoken of his desire to try his luck at a bigger club, and has announced that he is likely to depart in June.

“I talked to Gino Pozzo (son of Udinese owner Giampaolo), who decided to let me go at the end of the season,” the right wing-back told La Tercera.

“I do not exclude the possibility of staying as I was asked to stay for another year. But, for now, all I think about is recovering from this injury as soon as possible.”

Isla’s agent claimed earlier this month that Juventus, Roma and Liverpool are also tracking the versatile 23-year-old.
