Albacete, currently 17th in the Spanish Segunda Division, have pulled of one of the greatest surprises of the season by knocking Real Madrid out of the Copa del Rey in incredible fashion.
Javi Villar put Albacete ahead in the 42nd minute, and Franco Mastantuono equalized in deep in first-half stoppage time. Jefte Betancor restored Albacete’s lead in the 82nd, and their fans surely felt deflated when Gonzalo Garcia restored parity in the 91st. But the last word belonged to Betancor, who picked an amazing moment to score his second, Albacete’s third goal of the game.
