Leeds United cruised into the FA Cup quarter-finals with a 3-0 victory over Norwich City at Elland Road.
Fulham and Sunderland both suffered surprise defeats earlier on Sunday, but Daniel Farke’s team had no such worries.
Gabriel Gudmundsson scored one and set up another as Leeds got back to winning ways after failing to win any of their last five matches in regulation time.
Leeds needed penalties to get past Birmingham City in the fourth round, but Sean Longstaff’s neat finish put them ahead in the 32nd minute here.
Having teed up Leeds’ opener, Gudmundsson got on the scoresheet himself just before half-time.
Norwich improved in the second half, with Anis Ben Slimane almost making an instant impact from the bench, but he saw his shot cannon against the woodwork.
The Canaries only mustered 0.73 expected goals throughout the match, and Leeds put the tie to bed when Joel Piroe netted a breakaway goal late on.

Data Debrief: Leading from the back
Gudmundsson became the first Swedish player to both score and assist in an FA Cup game since Erik Ring for Lincoln City vs Crawley Town in November 2024.
The left-back led Leeds in chances created (two, alongside Piroe and Anton Stach), while he also attempted four dribbles, albeit he did not complete any of those, while he also went in for three tackles.
Piroe capped things off, scoring his first goal for Leeds across all competitions since netting four against Stoke City in the Championship in April last year.
