Liga Sagres: Olhanense 0 Academica 2

Academica earned a crucial 2-0 victory away to 10-man Olhanense, to edged ahead of a backlog of teams on the Liga Sagres table.

After starting the game in 10th position, Academica went two points clear in sixth spot, courtesy of an Adrien Silva brace.

Olhanense slipped to seventh due to the limp loss.

Mozambique midfielder Mexer was dismissed just prior to half-time, as he earned a second yellow card for a late challenge on Academica striker Eder.

The visitors had already taken the lead at that point, by means of a Silva penalty on 40 minutes, before the French-born Portuguese midfielder scored his fourth goal in two games in all competitions shortly after the interval.
