Maritimo climbed to fourth in Liga Sagres after a Danilo Dias brace set up a 3-1 win at lowly Rio Ave.
Dias struck in the fourth and 18th minutes to give the visitors early ascendancy only for Bruno Manuel Araujo Braga to halve the deficit just before the interval at Estadio do Rio Ave.
Maritimo defender Joao Guilherme sealed the three points with an 88th-minute penalty.
A second consecutive win moves Pedro Martins’ side to 35 points, five adrift of third-place Sporting Braga.
Rio Ave sit in 11th place on 18 points, just four points clear of the relegation places.
