There has been plenty of talk about the future of Liverpool Mohamed Salah after his public outburst against the club and head coach Arne Slot back in early December. It appeared very possible for the Egyptian forward to leave the club after his exploits at the Africa Cup of Nations, where his team suffered a semifinal heartbreak against Senegal as another well-known name with a strong Liverpool connection – Sadio Mane – scored the only goal of the game.
However, speaking to the press ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Burnley at Anfield on Sunday, Slot revealed that Salah is expected to rejoin his squad next week.
“We are in talks with him [Salah] about what is expected of him over there, and what we expect over here.”
