Liverpool in talks with Dominik Szoboszlai over new contract

Liverpool are in talks with Dominik Szoboszlai over a new deal, according to The Athletic.

‘Few doubt Szoboszlai will allow himself to be distracted, even if his performances have inevitably led to queries over if, and when, the champions will try to extend a contract which expires in June 2028,’ notes the report.

‘Preliminary discussions are taking place with Liverpool over a possible new deal for Szoboszlai, although club sources are downplaying that any agreement is imminent.’

Szoboszlai has been on the books of Liverpool since 2023 when he joined from RB Leipzig. The 25-year-old Hungary international has established himself as one of the best and most important players for Liverpool, with his dynamic runs and shooting prowess making him a favourite among the fans. Liverpool are aiming to win the Premier League title for the second season in a row as well as clinch the UEFA Champions League.
