Liverpool plan £100m bid for Anthony Gordon

Liverpool are interested in signing Anthony Gordon from Premier League rivals Newcastle United in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun. The report in the British tabloid has claimed that the Premier League champions are ready to pay £100million for the winger.

Gordon has been on the books of Newcastle since 2023 when he joined from Premier League rivals Everton. Despite coming through the Toffees’ youth system, it is well known that Godon is a boyhood Liverpool fan. The 24-year-old England international winger has scored 22 goals and given 23 assists in 106 appearances for the Magpies so far in his career.

Liverpool have been busy in the summer transfer window. The Reds have already signed Netherlands international right wing-back Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen and have also struck a deal with the Bundesliga club over Germany international attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz.
