According to Fabrizio Romano, Sporting Lisbon have reached an agreement with West Ham over the transfer of Luis Guilherme. The total package will amount to €17million, including add-ons, and the Hammers are expected to receive a percentage of any future sale of the player.
The 19-year-old winger arrived to the London Stadium from Palmeiras a year ago, and he obviously hasn’t made the impact he and the club expected. In all competitions, he’s made only 18 appearances for West Ham. Five of those were this season in the Premier League, but only one as a member of the starting XI, and even then he was replaced at halftime. There have been no goals or assists to his name.
Still, there was plenty of interest in his services, including from Sporting’s fiercest rivals, Benfica and FC Porto. Over in Italy, the likes of Napoli and Fiorentina are believed to have monitored his situation.
