New Aston Villa left-back Antonio Luna is itching to feature at Villa Park for the first time since signing from Sevilla in June.

The 22-year-old joined the Premier League outfit on a three-year deal on June 20, after spending the second-half of last season on loan at Mallorca.

He is set to line-up against La Liga side Malaga on Saturday as Villa play their final pre-season game ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

And he is excited to play in front of the Villa Park faithful.

“I can’t wait to play at Villa Park. It will be so exciting,” he told the club’s official website.

“When I went to Villa Park soon after I signed, I was really impressed – and there was nobody there, it was completely empty.

“So it will be incredible with the fans there singing and chanting. The fans clearly love their team and their players and I can’t wait to feel that connection at home.

“I am looking forward to the Malaga game. They will be a good test for us with the Premier League season close-by. It’s a good examination. It will be really good.

“Last season they played in the Champions League so that shows their quality. They finished sixth in La Liga too, which is a very good position.

“It’s definitely one for everyone to look forward to.”
