Lyon to cash in on Valbuena

French media outlet Le 10 Sport understands that Ligue 1 outfit Lyon are ready to entertain offers for star midfielder Mathieu Valbuena.

Les Gones made the 31-year-old one of their highest paid players just a year ago, but they have lived to regret the decision.

And with the former Marseille star struggling to rediscover his form, Lyon chiefs are desperate to get rid of the France international.

It is believed that les Gones would be happy to receive around €4 million for Valbuena, but some sources suggest they might accept half of that amount.

Chances are that the highly rated winger will be leaving Europe altogether seeing that Mexican Tigres and Chinese Hebei Fortune are interested in his services.

Valbuena, who has one Ligue 1 trophy to his name, only managed one goal in 26 league outings since returning to France, and was in turn overlooked for the France Euro 2016 squad.
