Manchester City welcome Liverpool to the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League this afternoon, and are favourites to pick up a much-needed three points to ensure they’re not leapfrogged in the table by their top-four chasing opponents. A win for City could put them second if results go their way so there’s plenty to play for.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side are currently third in the Premier League table with 56 points from 27 games this season, coming off the back of four wins and a draw from their last five ahead of this afternoon’s clash with Liverpool. And with the Sky Blues boasting four wins and a draw from their previous half a dozen outings on home soil, they’ll fancy their chances of a result.

Liverpool are no slouches, however, and did beat Manchester City in the Premier League back in December.
