Manchester City are keen on tying down Phil Foden to a new contract, according to TBR. Foden is out of contract at Man City in the summer of 2027, and the Premier League clubs are ready to reward the England international with a new and better deal.
Man City director of football Hugo Viana and Foden’s team are planning to hold talks over a new contract in the upcoming international breaks.
Journalist Graeme Bailey told TBR: “Phil Foden’s link-up play with Erling Haaland this season has been joyous, but it is not a shock to City, they know what they have.
“Yes, there has been a bit of a rebuild, the likes of De Bruyne, Ederson, Walker have all departed.
“But with Rodri, Dias, Foden and Haaland – that is the heartbeat of this City squad and Guardiola believes they can be a match for anyone.
“He doesn’t want to lose any of his cornerstone players – it is a case of when Foden signs his new deal, not if.”
