Manchester United are interested in signing former Tottenham Hotspur striker Troy Parrott, according to United In Focus.
Parrott failed to make a huge impact at Tottenham, but the Republic of Ireland international striker has been on fire for AZ. The 23-year-old has scored 33 goals and given seven assists in 61 appearances for AZ so far in his career.
Journalist Graeme Bailey said: “He is a name that everyone in the Premier League is now looking at him. Is he the new Harry Kane? People are wondering.
“United are aware, they have seen in him domestically in Holland and internationally – but not an active target for them, I don’t believe….January, that is anyway. Come the summer, if they want another forward, he could be considered.”
Man United are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 18 points from 11 matches, a point ahead of fourth-placed Sunderland.
