March 29th: Sunday’s Segunda Double – 5/1 Special, Betting Tips & Predictions

With the Segunda action rolling onto Sunday, we have four noteworthy showdowns from across Spain’s second-tier.

With Segunda leaders Racing Santander seeking an immediate response this weekend, we are treated to some eye-catching battles from both ends of the table.

For those of you looking to stick on a Sunday flutter, we have taken a glance at some of the most attractive Segunda betting tips.

13:00 Eibar vs Las Palmas

While Eibar might have a real uphill battle on their hands in the race to punch a play-off ticket this season, Benat San Jose finds the mood in his camp at a season-high. Last seen putting in another gritty performance as they secured a 1-0 victory away at Andorra, the Basque-based outfit will be looking to make a major top-six statement here. Including another 1-0 win against Leganes earlier in the month, the former Atlas boss has seen his squad register 10 points from their previous four Segunda appearances. Along with getting March underway with a thumping 3-1 victory at home against Cadiz, Eibar should also be excited by their rugged defensive grit. In fact, Sunday’s hosts have not conceded a single Segunda strike in over 270 minutes of action. It should also be highlighted, Eibar have suffered just a single defeat from any of their last nine consecutive outings – a purple patch that stems back to January 10th.

After losing their La Liga status with a whimper last season, Las Palmas have their sights set on booking an immediate top-flight return in 2026. Last seen securing their own respective 1-0 victory at home against Sporting Gijon, Luis Garcia’s side have won three of their previous four Segunda appearances. However, despite being sat in the driving seat to punch a play-off ticket this season, the Yellows have struggled to find any kind of stability on their travels. Last seen away from the Estadio Gran Canaria getting hit with a 2-1 loss at the hands of Albacete, Las Palmas have won just a pair of their previous eight Segunda showdowns on the road – a rut that stems back to the middle of November. Falling to a nightmare 4-1 drumming away at Racing Santander on January 18th, Sunday’s guests should face another tricky test when they travel to the Basque Country weekend.

17:30 Real Zaragoza vs Racing Santander

Putting in what was a season-worst display last week as they slumped to a nightmare 4-0 drumming at home against Albacete, Jose Alberto Lopez will be demanding an immediate response here. Nevertheless, still opening this weekend’s fixtures leading the chase at the top of the Segunda standings, the Cantabria-based outfit have received a string of plaudits from across Spain’s second-tier this season. Winning each of their other five Segunda appearances, Sunday’s guests will be looking to make a title statement here. Sat in the driving seat to book an iconic La Liga return this season, Santander have also largely impressed with their performances in the final third. Despite mustering just a single clean sheet over the past month, Lopez’s camp have registered 62 Segunda strikes this season and comfortably hold the bee-attacking tally in the division. It should also be noted, the former Malaga boss saw his squad land a rollercoaster 3-2 win when they last travelled to Zaragoza back in October 2024.

While Real Zaragoza might have clung to their Segunda status last season, Los Manos find themselves at the heart of another second-tier relegation scrap. Last seen getting hit with a 2-1 loss against Real Zaragoza, David Navarro’s side open this weekend’s fixtures sat six points adrift of safety. Signing off February with a 1-0 defeat at home against Burgos, Sunday’s guests are widely regarded as a standout relegation candidate in 2026. Likewise, including a 2-1 loss against Andorra last month, the Aragon-based outfit have registered just a pair of wins from any of their previous 10 Segunda appearances – a run that stems back to January 10th. Despite being last seen at the Ibercaja Stadium claiming an essential 2-0 victory against Almeria, Zaragoza have gained a reputation for their struggles on home soil. In fact, Navarro’s camp have recorded just a sole win from any of their previous eight straight showdowns in front of their own supporters across all competitions.
