Marotta: Juventus, Milan have ´a good rapport´

Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta insists there are no problems between his club and AC Milan.

The two sides have seemingly had a tense relationship in recent months following several controversial refereeing decisions, including not allowing a Sulley Muntari goal when they met last season.

However, Marotta insists the refereeing controversies have not affected the relationship between the clubs.

“There has always been a good rapport between Juventus and Milan,” he told Sky TG24 when questioned on the matter.

“There’s the right competitiveness on the pitch and everyone wants to win, but we also have common off-field objectives designed to reach a winning strategy.”

Marotta also discussed Juve’s attacking situation and insisted they do not have any problems up front.

“If we consider last year’s championship and the first part of the current campaign, Juventus have the most prolific attack. We’ve scored 94 goals and we’ve never had difficulties in putting the ball in the back of the net,” he said.

“We’re the team with the highest number of different goalscorers and our tactical ethos is geared towards players breaking forward, so it’s not just the strikers who get on the score-sheet.”
