May 26th: Sunday’s Serie A Double – 4/1 Special, Betting Tips & Predictions

With the 2023/24 Serie A campaign drawing to a close this weekend, we have six top-flight showdowns throughout Sunday night.

As newly-crowned Italian champions Inter Milan look to make one final statement, the likes of Napoli and Lazio will also steal centre stage.

For those of you looking to stick on a Sunday flutter, we have found a pair of the most intriguing Serie A betting markets.

17:00 Napoli vs Lecce

While Napoli might have made real history last season as they got their hands on a first Serie A crown since 1990, the Italian giants have come crashing back down to earth in an infamous fashion. Remarkably now destined to settle for a 10th-place finish this time around, Sunday’s hosts are simply looking to claim some kind of boost this weekend.

Dealing with a string of issues this year, Francesco Calzona’s men have broken a string of unwanted records and they are without a single win from any of their previous six domestic appearances.

Likewise, the Azzurri have recorded just a single win from any of their last 11 straight matchups across all competitions – a rut that stems all the way back to March 3rd.

However, while Napoli have continued to show a string of glaring issues this season, their attacking icon has embarked on another free-scoring romp and has further cemented his spot as one of Europe’s elite marksmen.

Along with notching four goals in his previous six domestic appearances, Victor Osimhen has recorded 15 Serie A strikes this season and will be looking to make a statement in what could be his final appearance for the Italian giants.

Although Lecce might have officially kept hold of their Serie A status for another season, Sunday’s guests have struggled to find any kind of stability over the past month.

Last seen putting in another toothless performance as they suffered a 2-0 loss at home against newly-crowned Europa League champions Atalanta, the Wolves have suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time since the end of February.

Likewise, without a win from any of their last four top-flight appearances, Lecce should also be worried by their most recent showdown against Napoli.

Hit with a 4-0 drumming when they welcomed Sunday’s hosts to town for their reverse meeting on September 30th, Lecce have also claimed just a sole win from their last seven matchups against the Azzurri.

19:45 Lazio vs Sassuolo

While Lazio might have eventually fallen short in their bid to book another lucrative Champions League ticket this season, the Eagles are signing off the 2023/24 campaign with a real flurry. Appearing to be enjoying life under Igor Tudor’s guidance, Sunday’s hosts will certainly be confident of making a final weekend statement at the Stadio Olimpico.

Despite suffering late heartbreak away at newly-crowned Serie A champions Inter Milan last weekend as they had to settle for a 1-1 stalemate, the former Marseille boss has not seen his squad suffer a single defeat from any of their previous seven appearances across all competitions.

Signing off April with a 1-0 victory away at Genoa, Lazio have also continued to gain a fearsome reputation for their success on home soil.

Last seen at the Stadio Olimpico clinching a routine 2-0 win at home against Empoli, Tudor’s men have won all of their previous five straight appearances in front of their own supporters by an aggregate score of 10-2.

Currently enjoying their longest unbeaten run of the season, it is no surprise that Lazio are tipped as a landslide contender when they return to Rome on Sunday night.

On the flip side, already relinquishing their Serie A status, it is no secret that Sassuolo have been at the heart of a domestic nightmare this season.

Coming under a huge amount of scrutiny and really limping their way over the finishing line, Davide Ballardini’s men have lost four of their previous five top-flight appearances and they will be bracing themselves for another massive challenge here.

With their extended crisis underlined by a 5-1 drumming at the hands of Fiorentina on April 28th, Sassuolo have also secured just a single victory from any of their last nine consecutive outings.

Likewise, it should also be highlighted that Sunday’s guests have mustered just a single point from any of their previous 11 Serie A showdowns away from the Mapei Stadium.
