May 3rd: Friday’s European Double – 3/1 Special, Betting Tips & Predictions

With the Premier League relegation scrap looking like it will go right down to the wire, Luton will welcome Everton to Kenilworth Road for a season-defining showdown on Friday night.

With a handful of fixtures from the likes of Spain, Germany and Italy, there are plenty of intriguing betting markets that are available.

So, for those of you looking to stick on a Friday flutter, we have found a pair of European betting tips that could be worth keeping an eye out for.

19:30 Hoffenheim vs RB Leipzig

Although RB Leipzig might have suffered Champions League heartbreak back in February as they suffered a 2-1 loss at the hands of Spanish giants Real Madrid, the Red Bulls are in the midst of a real domestic flurry. Sat firmly in the driving seat to clinch a lucrative top-four finish, Marco Rose’s side can officially wrap up their European charge this weekend.

Last seen claiming what should prove to be a season-defining victory on home soil as they stormed their way to a 4-1 romp against Champions League semi-finalists Borussia Dortmund, Friday’s hosts should be smelling another real opportunity here.

Including a routine 3-0 romp against Wolfsburg last month, Leipzig have won all of their last four Bundesliga appearances by an aggregate score of 13-3.

It should also be highlighted, the former Borussia Monchengladbach boss has seen his high-flying squad muster 20 points from just their last eight Bundesliga showdowns – a run that stems back to February 24th.

Although Hoffenheim might be leading the chase to book a top-half finish this season, Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side have continued to struggle with their consistency on either side of Germany’s festive break.

Last seen suffering a shock 3-2 defeat against relegation scrappers Bochum, the Blues have lost five of their previous seven Bundesliga appearances and they have also collected just a trio of domestic victories since the start of December.

Hit with a 3-1 loss when they travelled to the Red Bull Arena for their reverse Bundesliga showdown on December 16th, Hoffenheim should also be concerned by a nightmare record against Friday’s guests.

In fact, Matarazzo’s men have lost their previous five meetings against Leipzig by an aggregate score of 13-3.

20:00 Luton Town vs Everton

While Everton might have been hit with two separate points deductions this year after dealing with some public financial issues behind the scenes at Goodison Park, Friday’s guests are enjoying a stunning purple patch. Skyrocketing themselves away from a looming relegation scrap and keeping hold of their Premier League status, Sean Dyche’s men will be looking to make another statement here.

Last seen putting in another rugged performance as they secured a 1-0 victory against Brentford, the former Burnley boss should find the mood in his camp at a season-high.

Including a famous 1-0 victory away at arch-rivals Liverpool on April 24th, Everton have won all of their previous three straight Premier League appearances by an aggregate score of 5-0.

Likewise, collecting 12 points from their last five top-flight showdowns and keeping a clean sheet in all of those four Premier League victories, Dyche’s side resorting squad should be relishing a trip to Kenilworth Road this weekend.

On the flip side, while Luton might still be fancying their chances of completing a dramatic late escape over the final few weeks, Rob Edwards’ men are at the heart of an extended crisis.

Last seen slumping to a 2-1 defeat away at Wolves, the former Watford boss has seen his squad muster just a single win from any of their previous 15 appearances across all competitions – a rut that stems all the way back to January 30th.

Suffering back-to-back 5-1 drumming against Brentford and Manchester City last month, Luton have also continued to gain a reputation for their glaring defensive issues.

While the Hatters might have collected a shock 2-1 victory when they travelled to Goodison Park for their reverse Premier League showdown on September 30th, Edwards’ side should face another stern examination here.
