Much has been said of Arsenal’s quality under Mikel Arteta lately – the Gunners have now overtaken Premier League champions Liverpool at the top of the table, beating West Ham 2-0 at the Emirates on Saturday and taking advantage of Liverpool’s subsequent defeat away to Chelsea.

Asked why Arsenal are as good as they are, Nuno Espirito Santo, the recently appointed West Ham boss, gave a simple answer.
