According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, Erik Lamela’s agent is in talks with Napoli over a potential move away from Tottenham Hotspur.
Lamela has spent many years in North London but along the way, it’s safe to say he’s been pretty inconsistent. His performance in the North London derby highlighted the good and the bad you get with him, from an outstanding goal to a needless red card. Of course, there’s a lot more he offers the team than just that, but we’re so regularly left to wonder what his full potential actually looks like.
Napoli are attempting to rebuild themselves right now in the hope that they can become a force in Italian football once again, but as we all know, that won’t happen overnight.
Serie A is a complicated place with lots of elite level teams and Napoli will really have to rethink their strategy if they’re to find success in the summer transfer window and beyond.
