Newcastle United are happy with Aaron Ramsdale despite the former Arsenal goalkeeper’s limited playing time at St. James’ Park, according to TBR.
The 27-year-old England international joined Newcastle on a season-long loan deal from Southampton in the summer of 2025 and has made just one appearance for Eddie Howe’s side.
Journalist Graeme Bailey told TBR: “They’re very happy with Aaron Ramsdale.
“It’s brought out the best in Nick Pope, so the situation is working well.
“Pope could even be in line for a new deal soon.”
Newcastle are 12th in the Premier League table at the moment with nine points from eight matches, four points above the relegation zone. The Magpies will return to action on Tuesday evening when they take on Benfica at St. James’ Park in the UEFA Champions League.
