Newcastle United are interested in signing Marcus Rashford from Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to CaughtOffSide. The report has claimed that the Magpies, who will play in the UEFA Champions League next season after finishing in the top five of the Premier League table in the 2024-25 campaign, are making ‘serious moves’ to convince Rashford to join Eddie Howe’s side.
Rashford spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa from Man United. The Villans have a £40million option to make the deal permanent, but it does not look likely that Unai Emery’s side will do that. Barcelona wanted to sign the England international forward in the January transfer window, and Rashford remains keen on a move to the La Liga champions.
CaughtOffSide has claimed that Newcastle’s plan is to sign Rashford on a loan deal. However, Man United would prefer a permanent sale. Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the forward, and so are AC Milan, Juventus and Napoli, Atletico Madrid, Real Betis and Bayern Munich.
