Portuguese daily newspaper A Bola claims that Atletico Madrid have reignited their interest in Benfica winger Nicolas Gaitan.
It is no secret that the Argentina international has been on the radar of the La Liga giants for a couple of years now, but he has so far resisted temptation to leave the Eagles for greener pastures.
According to reports from Portugal, Atletico Madrid are ready to launch a fresh assault on the highly rated footballer, who has a €45 million release clause in his contract.
Los Colchoneros are not the only top club after his signature, with Manchester United in the race as well.
Nicolas Gaitan has already rejected a lucrative offer from Dubai as he wants to join a top European club, and there is a good chance he will be sold in the summer transfer window, especially if he shines for Argentina at the upcoming 2016 Copa America Centenario.
