According to Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich are set to complete the signing of Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea before the transfer window closes. The move would be an initial season-long loan for which the Bavarians would pay €15million, with an option to turn it into a permanent deal next summer for €80million.
Chelsea have significantly strengthened their striker section with the acquisitions of Joao Pedro from Brighton and Liam Delap from Ipswich Town, which made it pretty clear straight away that manager Enzo Maresca didn’t have a place for Jackson in his plans. With a hnumber of clubs in the Premier League searching for attacking reinforcements throughout the summer, several links appeared on that front, but Bayern have obviously acted more decisively than any other potential suitor.
Having parted ways with Mathys Tel, the Bundesliga champions need a backup option for Harry Kane as they battle on three fronts through the 2025/26 season.
