Northern Ireland impressed during the recent international break, winning against Slovenia, while drawing to Wales. Michael O’Neill’s side have had the perfect pre-tournament preparations for their group stages to come this summer, but they have a tough selection of teams to try and best.

Germany, Poland and Ukraine are the three sides joining Northern Ireland in Group C. It sees Ireland as underdogs given the strength in competition, but they have confounded critics to make it to the European Championships so they shouldn’t be flatly ruled out.
Northern Ireland’s recent form has been fantastic too.

Of their last nine games in all competitions, Ireland have won four and drawn five, conceding just six goals for their troubles. Such form will see the squad full of confidence of pulling off a major shock in the tournament, qualifying for the knockouts ahead of either Germany, Poland or Ukraine.
