Nottingham Forest are ‘close’ to appointing Sean Dyche as their new manager, according to TBR. Ange Postecoglou was sacked as the Forest manager on Saturday following the team’s defeat to Chelsea at the City Ground in the Premier League.
Journalist Graeme Bailey told TBR: “Forest have been considering their options for more than a week and that included talks with Dyche.
“They are now taking that on, and he now has the chance of taking charge at the City Ground.
“Talks are ongoing, the length of contract being one issue, but sources believe a deal is close, although it’s not done… yet.”
Forest are third from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with five points from eight matches. The Tricky Trees will return to action on Thursday evening when they take on FC Porto at the City Ground in the UEFA Europa League.
