Paraguay Division Profesional Wrap: Olimpia thrash Deportivo Capiata

Olimpia handed Deportivo Capiata their first loss of the Paraguay Division Profesional season as they dominated in a 4-0 trouncing.

Juan Salgueiro opened the scoring in the sixth minute before he doubled the advantage three minutes into the second half.

The points were effectively sealed in the 75th minute when Nelson Benitez found the net and Dante Lopez topped off the victory just before stoppage time.

Cerro Porteno kept their three-game unbeaten start alive with a 2-1 triumph at Rubio Nu despite conceding an early goal.

Francisco Vera sent the Rubio fans wild in the third minute before Guillermo Beltran tied the game on 33 minutes.

But Angel Romero secured the three points for Cerro Porteno with his goal in the 66th minute.

Brian Montenegro ensured Libertad also stayed unbeaten as his 18th-minute effort won the contest against Sportivo Luqueno.

General Diaz made it three draws from three games with a goalless draw against Nacional Asuncion.

In other results, Cerro Porteno PF ended their losing streak with a 2-0 win at home against Deportivo Carapegua while two goals in three minutes helped Sol de America to a 2-0 victory over Guarani.
