Porto coach Vitor Pereira has urged his side against complacency after their 3-2 win over Benfica on Friday.

Maicon’s 87th-minute winner saw Porto to the thrilling win at Estadio da Luz, putting them three points clear of Benfica at the top.

Oscar Cardozo’s brace had given Benfica a 2-1 lead after Hulk’s early opener, before James Rodriguez equalised.

But Pereira is adamant the defending champions still have a long way to go, despite opening up a handy buffer at the top.

“These are three points, there are still many matches left and we are going to have to work hard to achieve our goal which is the title,” he said.

“Nothing was decided today, the difference between the two clubs in the table is very small. This was a good, morale-boosting victory.”

“Porto went into this match with the clear goal of getting the three points.”
