Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo said he is hoping that AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will play in their Serie A clash on Saturday.
The Sweden international Ibrahimovic received a red card in his side’s scoreless draw against Napoli earlier this month, and was consequently handed a three-game suspension.
However, Ibrahimovic opted to appeal his ban, with a final decision to be made this Thursday, and his former Milan team-mate Pirlo wants the striker to feature for the opposition.
“We hope that Ibra will be there on Saturday,” Pirlo told La Stampa.
Ibrahimovic has already missed two matches due to his suspension and will be available for Saturday’s encounter at San Siro if his ban is reduced by one game.
The 30-year-old Swede has been a key figure at Milan this season, netting 15 Serie A goals.
