Portugal’s Deco set for last tournament

(GSM) – Chelsea midfielder Deco has confirmed he will retire from playing with Portugal after the World Cup in South Africa.

The 32-year-old playmaker is expected to join Fluminense after the World Cup and want’s to spend more time with his family.

“Yes it is my last tournament, definitely,” he told chelseafc.com. “It is because I need to have more time for my family. For me it will be the last World Cup and I hope to be remembered positively.

“I feel a certain nostalgia, I spent great years so far, made great friends, I was really well received. The [international] selection was where I felt at home, that encouraged me a lot. [After] almost eight years, I am very happy.”
