Striker Fabio Quagliarella will not be swapping Juventus for AC Milan in January, insists his agent Beppe Bozzo.
The 28-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular first-team slot this season as a combination of injuries and poor form have kept him away from Antonio Conte’s team sheet.
This has led to rumours of an exit, with Milan reportedly keen to land him on loan as a temporary way to fill the void left by Antonio Cassano, following his recent heart surgery.
But Bozzo shot down any reports to that effect.
“Quagliarella will certainly be staying at Juventus for the long term because the club are counting on him,” Bozzo told Calciomercato.it.
“There have been clubs asking about him as we approach the transfer window, but I have declined every offer. I am sure he will be able to contribute to Juventus as he is a great striker.”
Former Napoli and Udinese frontman Quagliarella came on for Juventus as a substitute in Sunday’s 3-0 win over Palermo in Serie A.
Juve lead the standings on goal difference from Lazio, who they play on Saturday.
