Real Madrid and Manchester United are among the clubs keen on Gilberto Mora, according to TBR. The 16-year-old attacking midfielder is one of the best young players in all of North America and made his debut for Tijuana just 10 days after his 15th birthday.
Mora has since made almost 50 appearances for Tijuana and has also played three times for Mexico, with the expectation being that he will be part of the squad for the 2026 World Cup finals. Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the teenager.
Journalist Graeme Bailey told TBR: “Gilberto Mora is a name that everyone in football is talking about, across Europe. There have been a few players that I have heard more chatter about than him.
“He is likely going to be the most talked about player at the forthcoming Under-20 World Cup, and indeed, he is likely to feature at a home World Cup finals – it’s going to be a huge 12 months for Mora and Mexican football.”
