Arjen Robben is looking forward to the rest of the season after his impressive performance during the Netherlands’ 3-2 victory over England.

Bayern Munich winger Robben opened the scoring with a wonderful solo goal in the international friendly at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday.

He then decided the game in the visitors’ favour with a sublime curling effort right at the death.

“This victory tastes very good,” Robben said.

“Of course it’s very nice to take away a victory that late in the game, even though it was a friendly.”

“For the team this is a very good result and we can build on this towards Euro 2012.”

“My first goal was created by Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. He took away two defenders and gave me the space to dribble and shoot.”

“The second goal was a bit lucky because the ball was touched by an England defender.”

“Nevertheless, it was a great result and it’s nice to be important again. I just want to do my thing for Bayern and Holland from now on.”
