According to AS, Rodrygo Goes has decided to leave Real Madrid as soon as possible, having learnt from the mistake he made when he stayed in the Spanish capital last summer, despite interest and initial talks with several potential suitors.
In fact, if it was up to the player himself, the transfer would happen this month already, but the knee injury that has ruled out Kylian Mbappe for at least three weeks has made that highly unlikely. Odds are, the Brazilian winger will complete the season with Los Blancos before moving on to the next chapter of his career in the summer, regardless of the fate of coach Xabi Alonso, which depends on Real’s success on the Spanish Super Cup.
Manchester City and Arsenal are currently considered as the most feasible destinations for Rodrygo, although Liverpool could also be in the mix, with the Brazilian winger, who turns 25 next week, viewed as a good candidate for a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah. Paris Saint-Germain are seen as one of the few clubs outside England who could afford this transfer, but their attacking department is well stocked, and Rodrygo himself has no wish to join Bayern Munich.
