Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has revealed he is not a fan of the newly-introduced early Saturday kick-offs in La Liga.

The 12pm CEST starts debuted at the beginning of the 2011/12 season but the Barca chief feels games should only be played during the afternoon or the evening, despite his team currently possessing special dispensation to not host early fixtures.

“I do not like to play at 12pm because I am a football traditionalist,” Rosell told AS.

“Camp Nou should only host matches in the afternoon or evening, but we will be supportive and will comply with the law, even if I do not like it.”

Meanwhile, Rosell also confirmed that the club have signed a trade agreement with Chinese sport shop Intersport to ‘drive expansion of the Catalan club’s image in the Far Eastern market’.

Barcelona – who lie in second spot on the La Liga table, behind Levante – play host to Mallorca on Saturday.
