Roma director Walter Sabatini claims Fabio Borini will not leave the Serie A club at the end of the season.

Borini, 20, signed for Parma at the end of last season but moved to Roma in August on a co-ownership deal.

He has been a big hit at the Stadio Olimpico, with seven Serie A goals so far, earning him a first call-up to Italy’s senior team.

“Borini left his mark against the United States, he is pure power,” Sabatini told Sky Sport Italia following the forward’s debut during an international friendly in Genoa.

“He does it every day in training and at weekends during matches. We are happy with his performances.”

“(Roma coach) Luis Enrique has done a great job with him, turning a prospect into a certainty.”

“He will surely stay at Roma. We have an agreement with (Parma CEO) Pietro Leonardi that the deal will be renewed in June and we will then discuss the following season.”
